While Linkin Park has been preparing for a show in Paris as part of the From Zero world tour, band member Mike Shinoda has taken time to call into Dallas-Fort Worth's ALT 103.7 to speak to afternoon host Ian Camfield ahead of the band's Arlington tour stop later this month.

In the interview, Shinoda gives us some insight into the process and considerations taken to choose new members to fill out Linkin Park's line-up - specifically, he recalls being impressed by Emily Armstrong's vocal renditions of Linkin Park songs "Crawling" and "New Divide". He also speaks on Armstrong acclimating naturally to larger stages and audiences in addition to having an easy chemistry with the other members of the band.

Camfield and Shinoda then go on to discuss the cloak of secrecy surrounding Linkin Park's dramatic return to the stage this past September, and what fans could expect attending the band's Arlington show on November 8.

You can listen to the 13-minute interview segment via an embed on Audacy, or on Onmy.fm where you can stream or download it as an MP3.

Dallas tends to have pretty great crowds, yeah. Especially for metal shows. :fedora:
