Just an idea that crossed my mind. A bit curious how is everybody planning to have their first listen of the new record, figured out a survey could be fun. Feel free to share your thoughts! Edit : obviously a tongue in cheek survey, no judging about leaks or whatever, I've hunt plenty of them myself
Hum, this may well be the most casual confirmation ever of someone having heard the album That's great!
So now its confirmed that i am gonna to the listening party next week Even if it just saves me 6 hours
Heard it in full yesterday at a listening event - as a guitarist, I'm meh once again, but as a LP/just about everything but country enjoyer, I am thrilled. Can't wait to listen again on repeat. " Spoiler: Song Name Stained " got me like:
Listening party at a small (but awesome) record store (Co.Co Bananas) in Melbourne last Thursday. Even though they took our phones away, in theory you could have set it recording prior to handing it over...but that would be a stupid thing to do and would have gone against everything Mike would have wanted. (3d12hr50min to go).
Listened to a leak cause I'm an asshole Overflow is fuckin weird lol, the intro sounds like Everything in it's Right Place then it goes into this big Imagine Dragons style verse and Emily's first chorus doesn't sound like anything LP has done before, almost goes into a falsetto. The last section of the song sounds a lot more like traditional LP when she starts screaming over the guitars Two Face sounds so Hybrid Theory you could convince me it's an old demo from that album I love the intro to Stained, that booming bass synth is cool. This song also sounds like it's from Post Traumatic because of Mike's verses. Emily's choruses sound straight out of One More Light IGYEIH is heavy as fuck, the outro is the most screamo thing LP has ever done lol, the intro riff sounds so much like Tool. Good Things Go has a nice melody. Its probably the poppiest song on the album, it doesn't sound very LP either Cut the Bridge is fun, the Bleed it Out comparisons are correct. Wouldn't be surprised if LP merges this song with Bleed it Out The transition from Casualty into Overflow is so fucking cool I thought Overflow was the ending of Casualty for like 20 seconds lol
