So, your favorite songs are The Emptiness Machine, Heavy Is The Crown, Over Each Other, Casualty, Overflow, Two-Faced and Stained? Cool.
To be fair, I have about that many favourite songs off the album as well I don't think I have a single hard favourite above all the others, and there are only a couple of songs I could say I don't like
I like songs on Linkin Park albums even Living Things or Lost in the Echo and the From Zero had different sinfer but it was good and minutes to mifnight has good music like meteira and hybrid theory are my favorite though a hundred suns night be their best and the hunting party is heavy and one more light isn't as heavy isn't a heavy song and I like linkin park music
Is Linkin Park big enough to do a Superbowl half-time show or is not as relevant on a world level scale?
I wouldn't say they're at that point right now but they could build up to it - they have the catalog but they just need the public fully on board w/ the new line-up
I think if they didn't do it between 2001-2004 when they were the biggest act on the planet, I have a hard time seeing them doing it now. Even with the success of the comeback. They just aren't at that level of public consumption in America anymore. Now if the Super Bowl was held in Germany...
The culture is so scattered now that there are no big acts that are universally known... LP could coast on nostalgia and the kids who listened to them 20 years ago are now adults with families. Also, they have a bit of a resurgence now, but I don't think it's enough. I agree that they could have done it in 2003-2004
I saw Linkin Park tribute with symphonic orchestra yesterday, and it was amazing! The singer's name is Slava and he was one of the guests on Mike's Open Door.
I don't think I've listened to any LP orchestral reinterpretations in a long time, this is interesting. Are these guys big names in their own right or is it just that they're performing these songs?
The band performs on their own usually, but they collaborated with an orchestra this time. Tinfoil performed with violins is something else.
I was thinking yesterday, this interview from the 'Already Over' era aged quite well, and kind of gives insight on Mike coming full circle with the old LP sound : https://www.nme.com/news/music/mike...sibility-of-more-linkin-park-reissues-3510700 Little would you know, but at the time, the band was working on From Zero. In retrospective, this couldn't make more sense. Anyhow, this era is a 11/11 songs for me so far. Loving every seconds. I know eventually they could relase new music I may be less into, so I really don't take it for granted
Yes, in hindsight, it's all very obvious - "Already Over" really did serve as a bridge between the past and future at the time
