    Couple of notes
    • Even for Linkin Park standards, this is especially catchy and infectious
    • Love the harmonies and back-up vocals throughout the song, they work really well
    • The bridge is sick - like, super sick

I love the verse melody and the fast drum groove, but not the biggest fan of the chorus though. The bridge is definitely the most stand out part, love the drop especially.

Yeah, I find it super refreshing to have LP embrace more fast-tempo beats.

They have done it on occasions before, but the big bulk of LP work, especially when it comes to singles, sits in the mid-tempo range.

So, i listened to the song about 30 times already and i think the strongest part is definitely the bridge and Mikes rapping. The way Emilys vocals are used in the bridge kinda reminds me how the bridge in WFTE is playing with Chesters vocals.
The song itself is catchy af. I wouldnt mind if the would play this one live in Düsseldorf.

It is a straight banger and I have it stuck in my ear the whole workday. So that's a good sign

Love the bridge and the build up from the beginning to the first verse.

Looking forward to the other 2 songs of the extended album.

Just noticed how there is a "uh-huh" electronic synth loop (sorry for the lame description) that keeps supporting the bridge all the way through, also during the drop. It's really low in the mix, but it adds another nice hype factor.

This is what I was scared tLP with female vocalist would sound for the most part: generic kinda early 2010s Paramore-like sounding... some interesting elements here and there but very Shinoda- solo stuff... not my thing.

Really liked it! Nothing too crazy or experimental but it is really catchy and that bridge is amazing. Still, I would not change it with any of the songs from the album.
I don't know, it doesn't really sound like Paramore to me.I do agree that it feels more like something Mike would have released on his own but not at all like Paramore.

Agreed. I've found that people generally don't know what the fuck they're talking about with female vocalists and always complain that a female-fronted band just sounds like [Insert the only female fronted band they know].

You mean you don't think this sounds like Fleetwood Mac? :kappa:

I've heard people describe Flyleaf as "a screamy Paramore" and thus I wouldn't be surprised to hear someone call current era LP as nu-metal Fleetwood Mac.

I hear Paramore in the chorus, but it's not the only band with a female vocalist I know lol. I didn't know tht comparing ONE song to Paramore and implying that I don't like Paramore would have been considered disrespectful in 2025 lol.

I think "After Laughter" sounds like Fleetwood Mac. :halfkappa:
My bud was nervous new LP would sound too "Evanescence".
First, I'm not asking in disbelief, but what about it reminds you of Paramore?

Can't help but hear early Paramore in the chorus, but maybe it's my impression.

When there's heavy guitars it's Evanescence.
When there's acoustic guitars it's Taylor Swift.
When there's punky guitars it's Paramore.
    When there's screams it's Flyleaf.

It's just like the whole "this shit sounds like Justin Bieber" schtick everyone grabbed onto in the 2010's when a band used pop elements. Just misogynistic instead.

Other songs on FZ sound like fucking LP, just the chorus of Stained gives me Rihanna vibes and UFTB chorus reminds me of Paramore, nothing misogynistic on my side, I listen to a lot of female driven bands and I have nothing against Emily fronting LP as I already said

    I think I do get @Migueltorres

There is a fast-tempo, pop-punkish flair to the chorus, and that coupled with a rock female vocalist may give a vibe reminiscent of the scene where old Paramore somewhat belonged - and it is an easy example to give, rather than a less known band.

That said, I think the song as a whole is unmistakeably LP, and Paramore is a great band anyway, so I wouldn't mind it even if parts of the song would sound a bit like it.

I can see the pop-punk chorus opinion. And yeah, in that field we're bound to be reminded of other bands. Maybe it's just the nature of the band, but I do think it's also very LP, too, though. And Emily's aggression and fry give the sound a nudge into higher places for me.

That's how I feel isolating just the chorus.
