I didn't buy much albums yet this year ... but I'm about to buy After Forever's new "Invincible Circles". It seems awesome to me
Assuming Pulse Of The Maggots and Duality is going to be like the rest of the new Slipknot Album (Volume:3 The Subliminal Verses) its definately shaping up to be THE album of 2004.

This post is going to be a little long. I want to state why I think it's the best of 2004 so far. As of right now, I'd have to say The End is Here by Five Iron Frenzy. There was definately a lot of thought and time put into the studio album (The End is Near, originally released in June last year exclusively on the Winners Never Quit Farewell Tour with Bleach, Holland, and Cameron Jaymes) which brought out an amazing album, both lyrically and musically. On a quick note, if you know anything about what people think of the Denver music scene, people just don't believe in it, and go as far as to say that a local band could never sell out the Fillmore stadium. The final show on the WNQ Tour in Denver was sold out, and it also attracted fans from France, Australia, Canada (my friend went to the Seattle show), you name it. You could almost feel the energy in the stadium as the band played songs from their albums for the very last time. It was amazing, and it made me wish I scraped up enough cash to go on the tour.
...albums that do rock: 1. Breaking Benjamin: "We Are Not Alone" 2. Lostprophets: "Start Something" 3. Edgewater: "South Of Sideways" 4. Incubus: "A Crow Left To The Murder" 5. Crossfade: "Crossfade" 6. Blindside: "About A Burning Fire" ...albums that will rock: 1. Adema: "[Untitled]" 2. 30 Seconds to Mars: "The Battle Of One" 3. Taproot: "[Untitled]" 4. SR-71: "Here We Go Again" 5. Ringer: "[Untitled]" 6. Ontronik: "[Untitled EP]" 7. VoKee: "VoKee" [EP] 8. Velvet Revolver: "Contraband"
My top 4 so far: 4)Lostprophets - start something 3)Incubus a crow left of the murder 2)Guns N' Roses - greatest hits 1)chimaira - impossobility of reason/Reasoning the impossible* I'm sure slipKnots new CD will be there soon *Chimaiira - impossibility of reason was released last year but the rereleased CD with an extra CD (Reasoning the impossible) was released this year
Best album, for me, as of right now would be: Summer Of Darkness by Demon Hunter or Rock Against Bush Vol. 1 by Various Artists. Yeah I rock.
