    i have some news!

Lucky You will be the soundtrack for this summer's blockbuster Spiderman 2. Other bands on the soundtrack include Yellowcard, Taking Back Sunday, The Ataris, Hoobastank and Midtown who will be on tour with the 'prophets in July.

    Source: Dragonninja.com

for those who dont know, its Lucky You by Lostprophets

It's not a new song, but it IS a good one, so im still happy about it.

The tracklisting is finally announced by Columbia Records and here it is:

    Vindicated - Dashboard Confessional

    Ordinary - Train

    Did You - Hoobastank

    Hold On - Jet

    Gifts and Curses - Yellowcard

    Woman - Maroon 5

This Photograph is Proof (I Know You Know) - Taking Back Sunday

    Give It Up - Midtown

    Lucky You - Lostprophets

Who I Am - Smile Empty Soul

The Night The Lights Went Out In NYC - The Ataris

    We Are - Ana

Someone To Die For - Jimmy Gnecco featuring Brian May

    Spidey Suite - Danny Elfman

Doc Ock Suite - Danny Elfman

This was from CountingDown.com which got their news from ColumbiaRecords.com even though it says nothing about the listing there, so this might not be totally true.

Wow. I hate every band on the list except Lost Prophets. it is a bad sign that Lost Prophets is becoming associated with a lot of pop-punk bands, because Lost Prophets are a lot different and better than those bands. That's why I prefer The fake sound, because the music is so unique and diverse

Edit: whoa, the lost Prophets song is called Lucky You? It would be funny is the song were very odd like Deftones' song

yeah it's funny. Lostprophets don't sound unique or any of that bullshit he just said.

I'm sorry if this pisses off some fans here or something, but they sound like every other 'rock' band on MTV/VH1 right now. In my opinion, nothing is unique, nor creative about them.

But hey, that's just my opinion.

And some of the other stuff on there from bands that I don't listen to...

lostprophets are somewhat unique, in my opinion. They sound somewhat similar to other rock bands, but at the same time they're different. It's hard to explain, really -- they're obviously influenced by some acts, but you can tell they're doing their own thing.

    Apex Theory = more original/more ownage ;)
