I must be like the only person on the Internet who doesn't like them. Dunno, i prefer brutal American bands, i think melody is a Swedish privilege
Killswitch Engage is easily the best metalcore band that I've ever heard. They've been one of my all-time favorite bands ever since I first heard them. I love all three of their albums, although The End Of Heartache is probably my favorite of the three.
I still proclaim that Shadows Fall > Killswitch Engage. It's weird because those two bands are kinda related to one another.
I love Killswitch Engage too...although I've got to say, I do prefer the first two albums to the third one. Not really sure why to be honest, it's not even really the change in vocalist - I loved "Rose Of Sharyn" when I first heard it, but the rest of album just doesn't make me want to stick it on repeat, when I listen to the others, I usually want to listen to it again straight after. I've heard of Shadows Fall but never listened to them...I'll probably check them out.
I kind of felt the same way, my friend had me listen to the first 2 CDs and I thought the main singer was better than the newer, but after a while I really, REALLY started to like The End of Heartache. I really like Killswitch Engage, and I like them more than Shadows Fall, but I like Bleeding Through a lot more than both.
I've only heard "When Darkness Falls". I liked it. Any other songs i should listen to, to see if i really like them?
"The last serenade" is considered their big break. I personally don't like it. [/b][/quote] Try "My Last Serenade."
