Well i think that Meteora is better in some aspects. I think that some songs are more powerful and angry on Meteora (the kind of songs that i love) but lyricaly HT is better. I wouldn't say Meteora is better than HT but it's not as bad as some people say it is

Meteora was a good album. no doubt about it. But it was completely unoriginal. For example, I want you listen to In the End, and then Somewhere I Belong. They sound too much alike. Everything is nearly based on the style of Hybrid Theory

Hybrid Theory is a much better album than Meteora. I personally think it's Linkin Park's best album. I think that all of these songs don't match up to their older Hybrid Theory and Xero songs. Those were the best.

Yes, they both are unique in their own ways.

I think the wanted to copy the succes of hybrid theory with the same style and same things they sing about what they did i think.

And you are right about ''in the end'' and ''somewhere i belong''

Hybrid Theory kicked Meteora's ass in both originality, song qualities, and artwork. Only better thing that I could think of from Meteora were the short descriptions about each song and it had a better instrumental track.

    That Meteora is better sounding...
    BUT
Hybrid Theory seems to have more moral to the lyrics and its a little harder! ^_^

i think that meteora wasnt as angry and hard as HT, but it was still good, i just think hybrid theory was better and louder, and i like that more, meteora was a pretty good album, but it sounded a little laid back compared to HT

Well I compare the similar songs from Meteora to Hybrid Theory

    Don't stay-One step closer:
Don't stay is heavier than one step closer but both does not feature mike
    Somewhere I belong-Pushing Me Away:
soft verses then hard chorus except with PMA rapping is in the verses
    Lying From You-Papercut:
Both have rapping in the verses, chester singing heavily in the chorus
    Hit The Floor-By myself:
    Quiet verses,Loud chorus's
    Easier To Run-Crawling:
Same kind of musical feel with the chorus coming in straight away
    Faint-Place for My Head:
Both feature fast rapping in the verses, chester screaming in the middle
    Figure.09-Forgotten:
Same kind of rapping in the verses
    Breaking The Habit-Runaway:
Chester singing the whole song except Runaway when it features mike a little bit and kind of quiet screaming in BTH
    From The Inside-With you:
    Quiet verses with loud choruses
    Nobody's listening-In The End:
Mainly all rapping with chester singing the chorus
    Session-Cure For The Itch
    Numb-Points Of Authority:
Points of authority louder than numb but mainly chester singing with a louder chorus

I'd say the 2 albums are pretty much equal in every way so i'd say yes and no

IMO Hybrid Theory should go down in history for being one of the debut album of all times. it still is my favourite album after all this time ^_^ the work put into every sound is shown when you listen to the album. and you can tell LP have work on playing these songs live as well, when they do play them they sound great ^_^
Meteora is a great album in every sence of the word. however it just is a little lacking, but it was to be expected. even a band like LP couldnt produce anything better than Hybrid Theory IMO. i like the way they chopped and changed things about on Meteora, like playing about with the samples like on SIB and Nobodys Listening.

but everyone has their own opinion - and mine is that HT is better than Meteora because of the effort they put into it shows more. 5 or more years perfecting songs compared to 2 years

Meteora is amazing, but Hybrid theory was just one of my favourite albums of all time so

    Hybrid theory is better IMO

Well IMO, Hybrid Theory was a lot more experimental than Meteora. (Hensce Hybrid, I suppose) Once Hybrid Theory came out I bet they were like "Well, we know what we can do so let's milk it for however long possible" and they did basically, because it shows on Meteora AND Reanimation. (Although I think Reanimation was just a "hold on until we get Meteora out" type of thing) but Meteora was a lot more business oriented. They knew they had to put something together fast because fans didn't respond to Reanimation well and they came up with Meteora. I like Meteora, but it's just way too based off Hybrid Theory. I wonder what's in store for the next album.. ;)

    Musical Advantage= Meteora
    Lyrical Advantage= Hybrid Theory

I think if they had used more musical variety with the Hybrid Theory lyrics...they would have had a perfect CD and vice versa with Meteora.

You might think that Meteora was more business oriented...but I think it was because they showed more of the behind the scenes in Meteora. If they showed the behind the scenes for Hybrid Theory, I think you'd discover that there was a lot of business orientation...maybe even more than Meteora.

Ht was new and orginall , So that's an argument to think it's great.
meteora wass more of the same , but better musical , lyricall I think there isn't that much diffrence between the 2 albums . I think al the band members improved the last years you can hear it on meteora. Bit it kinda suck that some songs where almost exact copies of ht
don't stay - one step closer
    pushing me away- numb
hit the floor - point of authority
But i still love meteora more
