US residents can now pre-order the brand new Mike Shinoda-designed DC Remix shoes through Linkin Park's official merchandise store. The shoes were completely designed by the Linkin Park emcee himself, from the soles to the art on the box they come in. The shoes come in two different colors, black and brown/white. By buying these shoes, you're contributing to a scholarship fund set up by Mike, where 100% of the profits go towards helping art students at the Art Center College of Design, where Mike went to college in Pasadena, California. DC Shoes have also matched Mike's donation dollar for dollar, which effectively doubles your contribution to the fund. The shoes are priced at $89.95 USD. Also at the Merchandise store is the coffee-table book, "From The Inside: Linkin Park's Meteora", the first authorized Linkin Park-based book ever. The book contains hundreds of exclusive, never-before-seen pictures taken by Greg Waterman as he followed Linkin Park around on their 'Meteora' promotion tours over the last year and a half. The full-color, hard cover book is 144 pages long, and includes band -written testimonies and captions. Its really cool that Mike is donating money to art students. They are really the ones who need it most because people dont take them seriously. Is LP still planning to do book signings?
yeah first of all the shoes look awesome (from the soles to tha box) and i am really supportive of mikes decision to donate the money to scholarships for art students, because i plan on getting into art as a career and it is nice to know that someone out their actually takes you seriously... (considering that he was an art student himself, duh he supports it)

I'll be definately getting those shoes. I've been wanting to get a new pair of shoes by DC and these came along just in time I'll be getting my pair. Also $90 is'nt that bad in the UK, the currency will probably work out less than a pair would in pounds over here, so it's all good.
