I thought Hybrid Theory was a better album, IMO

 

I think they are both the same as good. It doesn't matter their differences, they sound awesome. And that's what matters.

Yeah I'd agree with that

 

hybrid theory was not as pop as meteora is. on meteora I think, every song worth for a hit single. no matter how wild and angry they are, its all very simple and unique.

hybrid theory is an amazing piece of music. I never saw an album which shows so much emotion and so much anger at the same time. sometimes, when I'm listening to it, I'm a little confused and dont know what to think, when I hear chester bennington singing at the beginning of the song and go nuts at the end. the best example is 'a place for my head'. the chorus shows pain and misery, the end-part shows, how angry and fed up he is. its so awesome to listen.

 

yeap, me too, i like HT because they put more effort into it and had harder lyrics, (i still cant imagine One step closer being played on the radio X number of years ago) I guess u can see them putting more effort in coz u've seen/heard the demos, but i havent been able to find much demos from meteora, i would love to hear those.

But i do like both albums, it varies with mood.

 

I think that they are both very very good albums but in different ways e.g HT is origanal and Meteora has alot more of the loud stuff we all love.

 

Yeah They are both very good to listen to. They both have upbeat songs and songs about hardships and whatnot. Like others say, Hybrid thoery was very original: they had no time limit, but for Meteora, they felt rushed i guess because they probly knew that fans were waiting but it is still one of a kind; don't get me wrong.

 

I like Hybrid Theory and Meteora equally, but I honestly think that if Meteora came before Hybrid Theory, a lot of people would be saying that Meteora is better than Hybrid Theory. Not necessarily because its better (or worse), but because then it would be Hybrid Theory sounding like Meteora, rather than Meteora sounding like Hybrid Theory.

Haha, my hats off to anyone who can understand what I just said.

And on a different note...I noticed that at first glance, Meteora seems much softer than Hybrid theory, but if you listen more closely to it, its a lot harder and angrier.

my favourite album from linkin park is hybird theory and meteora is NOT better!

Hard to beat Hybrid Theory, but some songs... well BTH at least is one really awesome song!
