Ah, so Good Charlotte's new album is out -- what do you think of it? Do you like it better than their first one ... or not? Personally, I think their new album is so much better than The Young and The Hopeless -- the lyrics have more meaning now, and are more angst-y (the type I love, heh ). No more party-like songs like The Anthem, Boys and Girls or Riot Girl. I love how I Just Wanna Live sounds, because it kinda stands out from the rest of the songs in the album. The bridge in Predictable is somehow a little messy in a sense, but it's cool anyways XD. The album rocks, so all you Good Charlotte fans should go get it. [/opinion] BTW, I love Billy's illustrations, XP. EDIT : Oops, I got the first album's name wrong in the poll. It's The Lifestyles of the Young and Hopeless ........ right?
I can't stand Chronicals of life and death the only song I like on that record is I just wanna live because it doesn't sound like GC, therfore my vote goes to The young and hopeless. But I've started to mature slightly in my taste of music in the past few months and I'm not really a big fan of GC anymore.
No, you were right it is called "The Young and The Hopeless." Anyway, I think GCs newest CD, "The Chronicles of Life and Death," beats there older one, "The Young and The Hopeless," by a long shot, no doubt. Most of lyrics on the CD I can relate to in someway or another and the sound of it just sounds so much better then it use to, but it might be just me, who really knows, I just think there newer album is so much better.
Just so you know, Good Charlotte's first album was NOT The Young and the Hopeless. It was self-titled. As for GC...the first few times I heard their songs, they were okay. Now I can't stand them.
My brother got the new album and I haven't even spent the time to listen to the whole thing yet. I've heard a few songs but I wasn't really impressed by them. Before I judge though, I'm going to listen to the whole COLAD album whenever I get the time. I've bought so many CDs this month and haven't even listen to them yet. (Been busy. )
Ahh, Good Charlotte, where can I begin? When The Young and the Hopeless came out, i can't believe I actually bought it. I listened to it for awhile, but then all their shallow lyrics got boring and stupid. Then my tastes changed, and i started getting into metal. Now, the first few times I hear a song by them, i don't mind. But after that, I want to rip my ears out. I personally think that Good Charlotte's first album- the self titles one was the best, because then they wern't really popular, and the wern't so cought up in their "punk" image.
Their self-titled album rocks, imo. (That should've been included in the poll ) I prefer "The Chronicles of Life and Death" over "The Young and the Hopeless". It's a lot better and there isn't any cheesy, poppy lyrics in the new one, except "I Just Wanna Live." I really can't stand listening to "The Young and the Hopeless" anymore. I think it's because I listened to it too much.
An album that has the name of the band as its title...
You mean GC had an album before The Young and The Hopeless?
You mean GC had an album before The Young and The Hopeless?
Yes they did. Go check it out.
Hmmm, The young and hopeless has more songs that i like alot on it but The chronicles of life and death has a fair few songs that i love. I can't really decide. They're both good but in very different ways
