pretty good, i loved the guys performance as dracula, but alot of other stuff lacked. Had a great idea, but it went wrong in alot of ways, first of all, way to much cgi, Mr. Hide looked awful, really really awful. Over all 6.5/10 [note, highest score on my chart thus far is a 9.3/10]
Sorry for you guys but I thought the movie sucked!! Big time... I wanted to turn it off but I can't stand not knowing the ending. It just was so boring :wth:
I liked Van Helsing. And the fact Kate Beckinsale was hot in this film had nothing to do with it. ......Honest
Yeah. Good at stealing other movie soundtracks and blending them together to create and spanish-guitar/lord of the rings theme. Bah.
It was ok, I watched it today, I kinda liked it actually, because Dracula and the Brides made it enjoyable. In fact, I watched it twice just to see the Brides, it was just intriguing.
The fact me and my friends were laughing our heads off in the movie was the only thing that made it enjoyable besides the special effects. The things other people liked were the brides and Kate Beckinsale. Everything else sucked and suprisingly no one told us to be quiet in the cinema because we were their only source of entertainment...making fun of the movie and their fake accents BTW this is my opinion I'm not making fun of anyone who liked the movie.
I liked it the first time I saw it in the cinema but when I bought it on DVD and watched it I wished I hadn't bought it
i hated that film like nobodys business. i even wrote about why i hated that film in one of my film essays...no offence to anyone who likes the film though..
Not really. They just put "Helsing" because it sounds European and kinda "Dracula-ish" Does that make sense?
I bought the DVD for my sister's birthday. We watched it together and I would have to say it wasn't all that bad but not all too good as well. Now if it were my sister answering, she'd say she LOVED IT!, since she's a vampire fanatic (but most people say I'm a vampire since I have sharp eye teeth). Anyway, the movie was so-so. I'd watch it again just for the special effects.
I know this is an old topic and shouldnt have been brought back *ahem*, but I have to correct you. Van Helsing, aka Gabriel Van Helsing, is a character from the original story of Dracula. He is the doctor who is an expert on vampires contacted to help with the main characters daughter. She was feeling ill and wouldnt admit to being bitten by Dracula. He saw her and figured out she had been changed, so while she slept Van Helsing ordered her to be slain.
