Here's a quick reminder that MTV's "Ultimate Mash-ups" show featuring footage of a July 18th concert filmed at The Roxy in Los Angeles, California with Linkin Park and Jay-Z collaborating on select songs airs tonight at 10:30PM EST on MTV. That was freakin great o_o I missed the beginning of Dirt off Your Shoulder/Lying from You though cause my friend is over and she had to see the new episode of South Park o.- I think 99 Problems/Points/OSC was awesome. Jigga What/Faint was really good too. and Dirt off Your Shoulder/Lying from You.
IMO, OSC/POA/99 Problems was the best, followed by Faint/Jigga-What?...It was really great. I thought the crowed would be spilt in half like one half LP fans the other JZ fans but they audience reaction rocked.
Lol I missed the beginning of LFY/Dirt off Your SHoulder for South Park too. Got there right as Jay Z came out. I was genuinely surprised how great it was, I liked the studio Numb/Encore better than the live one, so I was skeptical, but the other 3 songs they showed were amazing. Jigga What/Faint gave me some new respect to Phoenix after hearing him play the funk bass through the first part, and 99 Problems/Points of Authority/One Step Closer was awesome all through it, I wish LP would make more songs that extend past 5 minutes like that. Kinda disappointed that MTV cut out Izzo/In the End and left only half of Big Pimpin/Papercut for the credits, but hey, what do you expect from MTV when it's only a 30 minute show, lol. The way they spliced in the rehearsal footage was cool too, especially how it transitioned with the end of Numb/Encore, nice little surprise. I'm hoping the live show is uncensored on the DVD though, I know the CD is clean or explicit, but if it's as it was aired on MTV for the Mashups portion of the DVD, it might be edited regardless. :wth: But all in all, that was the best new footage of LP I've seen since I went to PR.
I noticed Phi with the bass thing too =D I didn't really like Big Pimpin/Papercut from the credits. Another one of those songs that I dont really like the background music o.-
That was just awesum...I was expecting it to be good but this is by far much better than I thought it would be. My favorite was 99 Problems/Points/OSC
I loved 99 problems/points/one step closer!!! that was the greatest show.. I know this album is going to be sik. I wonder if this album will have any new songs on it.. because it kinda reminds you of Reanamation with all the same songs but collaborated. But Reanamation had My December. hmmm....i wonder??
