i think everybody listens to em man, they're definitely doin' their own thing. i dunno about the screaming and hard rock but the rap lyrics are nice. the problem is, almost ALL their fans are rock fans, coz they do have a rock basis in their music. and on their msg boards all u hear is "mike shinoda's the only good rapper out there... apart from eminem".. pisses me off


I saw this on a hip hop message board And I think kinda what this guy is saying is true , Most of lp's fans are rock fans and some say mike is only the best rapper , Ands most of the lp Msgboard or rock orientaded " also this one see other music section" But there not only rock their both ,so i't s kinda strange , What do you think of it?

I disagree. That is definately stereotyping. I can definitely say that Mike isn't the best rapper. From what we've seen from Meteora and such, far from it. I also don't like Eminem. My favs right now are Jemini and Dangermouse, and their CD Ghetto Pop Life.

And if you look closely, the other music section also has rock bands in it.

I agree with that person. Mike is miles from being even considered as 'the best rapper'... I'd say that that would be either TuPac or Jay-Z...

 

Why do you people think lp atracs more rock fans then hip hop fans? ,There a combi but more rock fans seems to like lp

 

Well, I don't mean that ALL of LP's fans are fans of rock but most of them do... I don't know one person who likes rap and likes LP... I go by what I've experienced and by who I know likes what type of music, etc...

 

That's why I never say that I think that Mike is the best rapper, simply because I don't listen to rap very much. Out of the rap I do listen to, I can easily say that Mike isn't the best – I feel that Atmosphere is better – but his lyrics are; well, sometimes.

 

yeah, i agree.

but LP does have a rock basis, and overall they are more rock than hip hop. but that doest change the fact that they are both. but some album sare more of one or another. look at REamination and now they are comting out w/ this Jay-Z thing. that should make the hip hop fans happy. im so happy that they have rap fans as fans. i think it is a wonderful thing. im not sure it really matters that the kids on the MB say that Mike and Eminem are the best rappers. i happen to be one of the rock fans, and i do like Eminem. but i dont listen to enough rap to form an oppinion on who is the best rapper out there.

Anyways ive noticed lots of LP fans that listen to rap/hip hop.
I think mcnasty also likes rap. Imean look at her sig.

 

I like rap too.

 

Jay-Z, Kanye, eminem, M.C.U.D., Ludacris and DMX Are my favorite rappers. Mike is great too.
I like hip-hop as much as i like rock and punk.

I don't like rap music, but I don't care that there are rapping parts in the LP music.

 

I like rap music.

I just don't like to boast which is better...

And yes, I am not just talking Eminem and Mike Shinoda knowledge of rap. I am actually into rap music though I am a "rocker" by stereotype.
