What is with all these threads about Linkin Park goes...

I don't think that would happen because LP knows that people have many different political opinions. I'd be happy if they sang opinions that were similar to mine but they will probably keep quiet about their political stance.

Why is everyone going crzy about putting political views into songs. I mean at first it was something new but now it's getting old.
I wouldn't be against LP putting anything like that on an album but I just think the whole 'I hate bush, buy my album' gimmic is growing old :)

One song. Two tops. It may help them deviate from the norm, but political songs get old fast.

Yeah, i agree with Mark. Maybe one song. I'm not the biggest fan of political music, but it would be something different for LP and it would be interesting to see what their stance is on political issues and see how they express them musically.

...but hey, maybe everyone in LP doesn't share the same political stance as each other, who knows?

You know how Phoenix said maybe they could try a rap battle track. They could random battle each other about their political views. That would be something that could fit a bands political song.

    No they wouldn't.

LP are pretty much neutral all the time.

Who would want hate mail saying that they said the wrong thing.
I mean no one likes it if their opinions are totally the opposite and he's screaming it to the whole world.

Would be interesting but nah I prefer bands that are neutral on their songs. Wouldn't hurt anyone.

Well, political crap is getting old.
I don't think mike would go for it.
On the other hand, "gangstah rap" would be good, as long as the track has some heavy riffs.
    I like gangstah rap, (hed)pe Style. B)
    G-punk y'all!

As a band, giving your views on politics can lose you a lot of fans. It's not a good idea, and I would hope LP never tries it.

    THANK YOU.
    Problem solved!
Linkin Park just doesn't go with political, it's like ice cream and pretzels (Don't go tryin that now!)
Lp were never political, aren't political now, and will never have anything to do with it!

Now sum 41 are something else, just by lookin' at their faces gives you the urge to yell out "POLITICS"
    .....Sorry for the spam.

Back to topic : don't expect lp to go out on concerts screaming "I HATE BUSH!" Or "CHEYNEY YOU SUCK!"...think of all the fans they'd lose!

erm..i wouldnt like it if mike or lp were to go political. it just gets annoying after some time.

besides, to me, music is a form of escape from certain problems in life. listening to politics in music just sorts of brings me back to earth... >_<

I agree that it would get old fast and that the songs wouldn't apply in a few years. Eminem isn't informed that personal life lyrics get old: eg. All the songs about how his relationships are going and mosh (a political song)
