    My opinion is this
    1. Jimi Hendrix- one of the most influencial guitarists ever. Excellent writing abililties with some of the best solo's and best riffs of anyone here. Also outstanding live preformances.
    2. Robert Johnson- Dont worry, you guys dont know of him... hes a blues guy from the 30's. But Eric Claptan and Jimi cant cover his music, he was just too good.
    3. Jimmy page, all the same things as Jimi with the best riffs and solos, but not quite as influencial, but he redefined hard rock none the less.
    4. Eric Clapton- outstanding live preformances. Great riffs and solos, and as much excellent music as Page.
    5. Jeff Beck- I dunno, hes just really clean and great. A true guitarist's guitarist. Though not as popular or influencial.
    6. Eddie Van Halen- not as clean as these other guys, but a true great one none the less.
    7. Duane Allman- Great music and a slide god.
    8. Chuck Berry- he's a legend, as influencial as Hendrix from the 50's.
    9. BB King- Dont know much other than before him, everyone played electric like it was accustic.

Wow, I can't believe someone has actually heard of the Allman Brothers on here! My dad absolutely loves (possibly obsesses over) the Allman Bros. I used to hate them, but now I'm really starting to get into them, they've got some real musical talent. If only Duane hadn't died... But their new guitarist, Derek Trucks, is still pretty darn good at slide...

    Adam Dutkiewicz (KsE)
Devin Townsend- most people haven't heard of him but he is in the Devin Townsend Band and Strapping Young Lad. He plays some wicked solos!
