sony car audio products=crap. For the same price, if not cheaper, Alpine is much better :D [/b][/quote]
I wish I had known this in advance. They're pretty damn good so far but not what I was expecting to be honest. There goes $100 and something bucks down the drain. Yeah, it was my Xmas present to myself. Maybe I need a new car stereo with a better equalizer? I'm still using my stock one.

Im just going by what I've heard.

But powering aftermarket speakers with a stock headunit is the dumbest thing you can do with car audio, it's a waste of money. For the speakers to work to their full potential and give you the sound quality you want, they need a good signal coming into them, something only an aftermarket headunit can do. Ideally, an aftermarket headunit and a nice amp, which is what I'll have once I install these.

As an early Christmas present, my dad's mom sent me $25, and my mom's mom sent me $50. Join that with the $20 I got sent from my dad's mom for my birthday last November, and I have $95. I haven't had this much money ever. The irony is that I am the one that should be sending money to them, like every normal Hispanic here does. I guess my dad does send them money all the time, but I should do something too...

As for my parents, I'm so damn homesick and depressed that I've asked for nothing. But I think they'll buy me something. I don't care what it is, though.
