I used to despise The Beatles, because I thought their music was boring and just in general, shit. But the girl I like absouletly loves The Beatles, so I figure, why not? I'll give 'em a try. So I do. And... wow. Some of these songs are just fantastic. Someone should have made me listen to them sooner. It's just timeless music. My Favorite Songs: Come Together Let It Be Yesterday Help! I Am The Walrus If I Needed Someone Happiness Is A Warm Gun Eleanor Rigby Penny Lane Eight Days A Week While My Guitar Gently Weeps Blackbird Hello, Goodbye Here, There And Everywhere Here Comes The Sun On a side-note, I tried to obtain the album version of Come Together, but I got an out-take of the song or something. Lennon (I think?) cracks up near the end of the song and fucks up part of the verse. I love it.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps is argueably one of the greatest songs of all time. I love the intro hook, and the guitar parts, and the vocals are dead on.
Eleanor Rigby Help Revoloution Come Together Yesterday Oh Darling I Want You(She's So Heavy) Octopus's Garden awesome stuff
My favorites are Across The Universe, Blackbird, and Love Me Do I used to think they were somewhat overrated, until my friend Mike made me listen to them in return for me making him listen to The White Stripes. He loves The White Stripes now, and I love The Beatles. It worked out wonderfully.
"Yesterday" is definately my favorite. Closely followed by "Eleanor Rigby". Godhead, by the way, did this kick ass version of "Eleanor Rigby" that must be heard. As part of a grade nine choir thing, we did this large concert of medleys of Beatles songs just running into each other. It was quite fun.
I'd have to kill you if you still despised them. [/b][/quote] Obviously I don't. Oh, I suggest everyone check out "The Grey Album". Helter Skelter + 99 Problems = Wicked.
I love the Beatles. My favorites are Eleanor Rigby, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Help!, Yesterday, and Revolution. Whether you like the Beatles or not, they revolutionized rock as we know it. And Lennon's Imagine pwns all.
I used to study The Beatles last year at school (music, obviously), and I got into some of their songs too - "Eleanor Rigby" and "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" are two of my favourites.
