Apparently "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" being the theme song for Batman Begins is just that, a rumour, according to Green Day.

And dear god do I hope that's true. That song doesn't fit Batman at all. Not to mention that's one of the worst songs on "American Idiot".

EDIT: Looking forward to new Cure, Audioslave & Dave Navarro, though.

 

Huh? Boulevard Of Broken Dreams is the main theme song? What the hell does walking down a lonely road have to do with batman?

 

One could interpret some of the lyrics relating to Batman.

Batman's parents were killed, and you could say/think that Batman has been alone ever since, even if Alfred is by his side at all times.

I can under the part about the sleeping city, because Batman does most of his crime fighting in the night, when most are sleeping. And, well, he's the only one. Until Robin comes along, but let's not mention him, ok?

Yadadada. Do the rest yourself, I still hate the song and think it wouldn't be a proper theme song.

Well, it makes sense that Boulevard of Broken Dreams is Batman Begin's theme song, cuz isn't Batman about a dude that... is messed up. WTF, nvm.

IMO, the main Batman Theme should have some very dark lyrics.

 

the fact that i almost choked on a piece of green menthos is enough to tell me that using 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' is just...ABSURD.

 

BOBD will be so overplayed by then everyone will hate it. i already think its annoying and i don't listen to the radio. :wth:

Batman Begins is scored by Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard. The main theme will more than likely be an instrumental composition similar to the other films. Honestly, I can't believe anybody believed this is true. :whistle:

 

Okay, so the guy who directed Memento is doing this movie? This should be good.

 

uhhh, question, isn't warner bros. going to release BATMAN:Year One soon.... isnt it in the scripting stage?... so....why would there be a "begins" and "year one"....?.... or was the title changed?... im so confused...

 

I like the song, but I just can't see it associated with Batman.
