Lactose Intolerance

Didn't know weather to put this in random chat or here but since this is a somewhat serious subject, I decided to put it here.

Is anyone here lactose intolerant?
I'm not but my girlfriend is which does give me a slight interest to those who are LI.

So I guess if you're LI you gotta take some pill before/after you eat milk products otherwise you'll faint [like has happened to my girlfriend countless times...I told her to lay off the chocolate...].

That must really suck I guess.
If you're not LI, than what are your thoughts about being lactose intolerant? I'd hate it because I wouldn't be able to eat all of those awesome desserts or anything [heh, Jen learned her lesson last night for eating my dessert, ended up passing out for a few hours because she didn't take her pill in time.] I feel sorry for all of your LI. :hugz: lol.

 

I had a friend who is LI. It isn't so severe that she'd faint, though...she just got really sick if she didn't take her pill before she drank milk/ate ice cream, et cetra.

 

My girlfriend does feel really sick thou before fainting, she doesn't faint until 1-2 hours afterwards but you can see she's turned all white just waiting to faint.
I can tell it sucks.

 

I am Lactose Intolerant. I just take a Lactaid pill when I'm about to eat dairy products and then I'm fine. I also don't drink regular milk. I drink Lactaid milk which tastes a little bit sweeter than regular milk. Sometimes I forget to take my pill though and then my stomach cramps up and I get really sick. Luckily, that doesn't happen too often.

sadly my friend is LI and he hate swallowing pills, he just has a really bad stomach ach then diara(eww.)

I have never fainted from being Lactose Intolerant.

2% milk makes me puke. That's sort of LI...

The cramps are horrible. Most of the time I manage to handle it, but sometimes it's hard to do anything because of it.

I drink Soymilk. It's good after awhile.

i dont think i am....in fact im pretty sure im not. i dont really get sick after i eat milk products, but i get a sour taste in my mouth afterward. im not sure how normal that is


heheh i like chocolate soy milk, Silk, its really not bad at all.
