This is really hard because I consider High Voltage (Reprise) and Dedicated almost equal but I had to go with High Voltage (Reprise) simply because of Mike's 2nd verse (Akira) it's one of my favorites and Chester's part is excellent too. Dedicated is a great track as well but I've always considered High Voltage (Reprise) one of LP's best.
Dude, ditto man. Mike rocks(or raps, whatever) out loud in Dedicated but Chester's prophet line won me over.
I chose Step Up. I love it becuase its more of a "rap-rock mix". Unlike most songs on current albums which are "rock-rap". Yes, there is a difference!
High Voltage (Reprise) , the live version on Underground v2.0 is awesome, i like it better than the album version.
HV Reprise... that is a nice song man. And on a side note, X-Ecutioner Style shouldn't really be on there because LP has no rapping in it whatsoever. That's all Black Thought and The X-Ecutioners.
though decisions but i went with dedicated. dont get me wrong the other tracks are just as good.... maybe even a little better (high voltager reprise, nobodys listening and step up in particluar) but to me dedicated has a quality that the other tracks dont have. any LP song which falls into the hip hop catergory is ace IMO
High Voltage Reprise. Maybe it's because it's so improved over the EP version, though. The beat is much better, although I do miss the EP High Voltage's "uh uh uh uh" that Mike has in the intro and bridge. Another reason I favor it is that Chester's part is nice and fits into the song great. I wish there were more songs like this and Nobody's listening in which Chester takes a backseat to Mike for a change. How many songs are there that are only Chester or only have a little rhyme from Mike? One Step Closer, Points of Authority, Crawling, Runaway, Don't Stay, Breaking the Habit, Numb. How many songs (now I'm talking post Hybrid Theory EP) is Chester completely or partially cut out of: Nobody's Listening. Now nothing against Chester, he's great, but he should not overshadow Mike, he's the glue of the group and extremely talented.
I think I'm like the only kid who likes Step Up. I like the beat and even though the lyrics aren't so great, it's still ok under my book. I think Fort Minor will be great though, because now I have begun to like LP'S Hip-Hop. I just hated Collsion Course, sorry if I made anyone mad.
