Rock, I guess. I'm really digging Psychobilly music these days. Shit like Nekromantix, Elvis Hitler, Reverend Horton Heat, etc.
Other. I'll listen to anythng and everything. My playlist can go from Montgomery Gentry to Guns N' Roses to Linkin Park to Eminem to Kelly Clarkson to Keith Urban to Fall Out Boy.
First of all, I don't like to lump it into four categories like that. Second of all, if you're gonna do it that way, you have to include classical. Third, I picked rock, but really I'll listen to almost anything. I just go towards whatever makes my ears happy. Fourth, Casey, do you like Tiger Army? (mention of Psychobilly reminded me of them)
My variety is very wide. I don't just listen to one genre of music. I don't specifically focus on Alternative Rock or Rap/R&B. I'm wide-ranged. I can listen to Techno, Rap, Rock, Emo, Alternative, Country, Electronica, Jazz, Classical, Latino, and I'd still enjoy the music. So it really doesn't matter.
I haven't checked them out yet. I've been getting stuff from The HorrorPops, Elvis Hitler, Nekromantix, The Meteors, etc.
Ditto. I like all genres of music, with the exception of Chinese Pop. I despises Chinese Pop. There are just a few artists from every genre besides Chinese Pop that I don't really like.
I just listen to anything I like. Duran Duran -> Dead Kennedys -> Nine Inch Nails -> Jamiroquai -> Faith No More -> The Haunted -> The Beatles, and so on. Not as diverse as some people here can lay claim to, but hey.
I can listen to The smashing pumpkins > Nine inch nails > Slipknot > Jamiroquai > Basement Jaxx > Cyndi Lauper > Distillers > Dido > Finch > Miss Kitttin > Mars Volta > Moby Lots of different stuff actually. If I have to choose, I'll go for Rock.
Depends on mood. I listen to Green Day all the time when I'm angry so I guess Pop-Punk. Linkin Park so I guess...Whatever genre they are (rap core?). And then when I'm in a good mood I listen to uplifting music like The Starting Line or some Fall Out Boy.
Nobody voted for country! I grew up listening to country, so I know a BUNCH of songs. My parents listen to it all the time. There's some pretty good songs here and there, but no one really ever gives that genre a chance. But my fav genres are Emo and Alternative/rock.
I love very melodic and hard music. Hard rock like Lostprophets (more evident on Fake Sound of Progress) where you can go from a nice melody into a heavy riff thing is so awesome.
