Linkin Park have placed #149 on the RIAA's list of the top-selling artists in American music history. To date, the band have sold 15.5 million copies of their albums and DVDs since bursting on the music scene less than five years ago. The majority of these totals come from their diamond-certified 'Hybrid Theory' debut which came out in October 2000, shipping more than ten million units. Bands that Linkin Park have outsold include No Doubt (15 million), Korn (14.5 million), Paul McCartney (14 million), Christina Aguilera and John Lennon (13.5 million each). The top portion of the list includes The Beatles at #1 with 168.5 million units shipped, Elvis Presley at #2 with 116.5 million units, and Led Zepplin at #3 with 107.5 million units.

the backstreet boys just ahead of bob dylan: how sad :(

pretty impressive for LP though, considering they have only released two albums worth of entirely new music.

I am also surprised to see how low the chili peppers are. They have been around for a long time and have released some excellent material.

Holy crap. How many full studio albums did Elvis and the Beatles have? LP only has 2, and they're on that list. Goddamn.

But then, LP have sold more than two ex-Beatles members which is an achievement in itself.

Not really considering the fact Linkin Park has been holding down the mainstream Rock crowd for a while.

I'm worried about America. Why is Garth Brooks selling more than Pink Floyd?
