We decided to postpone posting this news post for a day so more attention could be spent on the Live 8 concerts and the message behind them. A third coded message has appeared on FortMinor.com, reading "'The Rising Tied' incorporates live choir and strings which Mike arranged with the help of Dave Campbell. Mike and Dave worked together on Linkin Park's Meteora.'" Campbell worked with Mike on "Breaking The Habit", incorporating live strings into the song instead of strings from a keyboard. I don't think this album is pure hip-hop. It's a hip-hop album, obviously, but Mike features some R&B and some Rock on it. John Legend and Holly Brook makes the album not a 100% hip-hop. No album is really all hip-hop, unless it's a mixtape. Cuz once someone sings, it's not 100% hip-hop anymore.
im REALLY looking forward to this album.. can't wait... i hope it will be released in early sept or oct
Im excited about the album. Ive heard the whole Remember The Name (the first fort minor website theme) acoustic version and the beat sounds real good. Knowing Mikes creativness this album seems like its not gonna be just any rap album.
I can't wait to hear the album. The live strings just add another aspect to the list of great things that this album has going for it. It seems that this is going to be a very meaningfull & emotional album.
Yea alot different from what other rappers talk about. Instead of talking about himself being rich and famopus he'll be talking about things that...well matter.
Mike has always rapped about not being a "gangsta pimp rapper" otherwise he would be a hypocrite. If he did that style of rap. We know he wouldn't though. Title of 5 tracks of been released and you can tell that it won't include anything commerial.
