I don't think you have any idea what side projects are, judging by that.

You may not be alone, but you are against an overwhelming majority.

I'm for it, eventhough I wish Linkin Park would concentrate on making a new album as a whole.

I am just really interested in how it will turn out and how it will sound. I'm sure Mike will do a great job and won't disappoint.

Mike isn't alone about putting messages into lyrics, and if you think Hip-Hop is the same as Rap, you really need to get into the culture more. Mos Def, Talib Kweli... underground artists.

I'm for it, I like the side projects, it's better than having nothing at all until the next album.

definitely for. I believe is fair that Mike has the chance to express himself and create new stuff of his own. This will be really interesting ;)

I'm for it. Mike's contribution to Linkin Park has always been my favorite part of their music. I especially love his lyrics. Knowing what he's capable of, I think his album will most likely be great (can't say for sure yet though, seeing as I haven't heard it).

    For.

I was innitially a little sketchy but then came to my senses and realized that Mike is too loyal to cause the band to break up. Also, I want to hear Mike on his own for once, just him. He's a great lyricist and I'm fully anticipating this.

I'm for it. Mike's a pretty good rapper, so I think this album will do good.

Definitely for. This is good for Mike, and LP fans. Mike has the chance to do what, I believe, his passion really is. We all know Mike has real rapping talent. I'm really interested in listening to Fort Minor. I think the album is going to be kickass. The fans get to see another side of Mike that doesn't show through most of the time. In my opinion, the album will be a success, and a great experience for Mike. :)

I'm all for Mike going solo, but I'm a little scared if it will affect the band in a bad way. What if Mike does really good on this album and starts to think he's the shit and just decides to split from the group. That'll just tear my little heart up!!!!!!!!!! :(

I hardly doubt his ego is that big. I'm sure he'll split from the group, just not now. Sometime in the future when Linkin Park has broken up, he'll probably continue on his solo work. I wouldn't worry about it now.

In a statement directely from Mike he said that Fort Minor will not affect the band in anyway. He clearly stressed that this DOES NOT mean the band is breaking up in any way, and that this merely a fun side project to do while the band is making preperations for the next album.

I'm sure LP doesn't want to release thier next album on Warner Bros, so they're probably holding out until they can get out of thier contract with warner.

I'd be for it if it was JUST Mike, but I am more of a roack fan and I don't like the other rappers on his songs. Reanimation, Collision Course and now this. I am just sick of it. Also, it will push back LP's next record so it is even worse.
