Depends what you like. If you like a lot of screaming, download "The Kennedy Curse", "A Dagger Through The Heart of St. Angeles" , basically everything off their self-titled. If you like more melody, check out Watch Out!
Sorry for the double post They're releasing a spilt cover album with Moneen and have already wrote 5 songs for the next album which is due for Spring 2006.
Alexisonfire's music rocks. The thing is, in Watch Out, Dallas's singing got so much better, whereas the screaming became so fucking terrible. If Alexisonfire's next album has the screaming the first album had, plus the singing from Watch Out..... My two favourite songs from them are 44. Calibur Love Letter and Pulmonary Archery, but for PA, they should have used the bridge a couple of more times. That part defined the whole song.
i just got hold of '44. caliber love letter' and the 'kennedy curse' as suggested by mark and paul. i must admit they are pretty cool - thanks for introducing them to me!
My favourites: Pulmonary Archery, no Transitory, Waterwings, 44 Caliber Love Letter, Accidents. I like them.
Uh....you know George fucked up his vocal chords after the S/T, right? And Dallas sounds the same on Watch Out. Watch Out has waaay too much Dallas, IMO. Not enough Wade.
Alexisonfire w/ The Used, Sept 16th. Winnipeg Convention Centre in Winnipeg. And I'm getting tickets to it.

I downloaded one of their songs and then it was good until he started screaming so I turned it off Do they scream in all their songs? I just don't like screamers/growlers, etc.
There are a few songs with little or no screaming. "Side Walk When She Walks" is all singing. And it's a pretty good song too.
It's not just about the vocals. The guitars and drums are amazing. But if you don't like screaming, then Alexisonfire is not for you.
I saw a huge improvement in Dallas' singing.
Well, the overall idea of the S/T was better than Watch Out. I liked having Dallas sing at the same time as George screaming. And I fucking hate Side Walk When She Walks.
It's not just about the vocals. The guitars and drums are amazing. But if you don't like screaming, then Alexisonfire is not for you.
That's how I think about most music. I just ignore the vocals half the time and listen to insturmental only. ...plus I can never understand the lyrics until I actually read them.
Just go to http://www.theonlybandever.com and listen to the player. Draw your own conclusions.
cheers for the link iam a fan i think....
