Yeah. The only things I could even consider backing tracks is, like, the violin in Krwlng. But that's done from Joe's turntables, I think. Grohl has no idea what he's talking about.

Personally, I don't think there's any reason to get wound up over something like that. It's just an opinion, and he's entitled to it.

Also, Mike's vocals in P5hng... since I don't think he can say that one part backwards...

thats shit Grohl! and you know it!

sorry i got a little mad once i had read that.

I'm surprised Dave Grohl would say that since he's got the reputation of being 'The Nicest Guy In Music'. It just goes to show that he isn't familiar with LP's style of music and to be honest he's quite hypocritical,in his days with Nirvana I know for a fact a few of their songs had backing tracks e.g. 'Come As You Are'.

What made me laugh is that he actualy put Motley Crue in the same category of LP...there's a world of difference between the two

He didn't put them in the same category, he just named the two bands as examples that they both use backing tracks @ live shows (in his opinion)... And so it doesn't matter how they are classified...

I dunno if it's right what Dave says but for me he isn't that type of guy that opens his mouth if he doesn't know it right... But I could be wrong... I just thought when listening to "Live In Texas" that the sound of this CD may be overdubbed and it's possible that they use backing tracks... But I think that the expression "poor musicianship" is way too hard, I think, a lot of bands use it and it doesn't have an effect at their talent...

Most live albums don't necessarily have backing tracks, but rather are rerecorded over for the sake of a bearable album to listen to when it hits stores.

To be fair though, I have a live performance of Smells Like Teen Spirit from SNL and it sounds like it has a backing guitar track.

Jesus Chirst, Numb/Encore is getting annoying. It wasn't even that good of a song, and it was song for a side project, they're going to make it a permanet part of Linkin Park if they continue. So this means that they will do Numb/Encore at the concert again and Jay-Z will be there. Great, Linkin Park AND Jay-Z again. People are starting to think Jay-Z is now part of the band.

somehow i cant see Jay going on tour with the lads.... i think give it a few more months and the whole 'collision course' thing will blow over.

btw i think numb/encore is a cool tune

    Voted.

Jay-z will all be part of the bands past once they make a new album(whenever that is.) And Fort Minor is probably gonna bring alot more fans into Linkin Park. Ive seen a few people after this whole Collision Course thing go out and buy LP albums.

Jay-Z as the seventh member of LP??? Uargh, terrible thought... I don't wanna see him with LP anymore... CC was enough and he should either focus on his own stuff or retire, like he had planned years ago...^^
