FROM LIMP BIZKIT.com, we finally got an EXCITING update! we are in the studio in los angeles. creativity is at an all time high. we are writing new material everyday. we would like to follow our EP, TUTP1, up with a compilation of our favorite limp songs combined with lots of material never heard before on a greatest hits album to be released this fall. this to be followed by a new full length album of all new material along with the greatest limp tour ever. timing is everything. I think they're releasing a greatest hits album a little too early, they should have just gone on to write a new album. Then again they're probably only doing it to get some publicity so they can have a succesfull tour.
I hate it when bands release greatest hits too early like Green Day etc. Limp Bizkit still have a long future. I hope TUTpt2 is better than pt1
I'm not interested in the Greatest Hits, because most of limp bizkit's singles are my least favourite of their songs, and I own all of the albums except for 'Three Dollar Bill Y'all'. As for the new material, I'm hoping they can get back to the kind of instrumental variety they had with 'Significant Other', with Fred keeping the seriousness he had on TUTP1. Until that 'album' (I use inverted commas because it's more of an EP in length) I thought Fred was the worst frontman in the world and that he was ruining an otherwise extremely talented band, but I think he's started to rise above that level.
Well Green Day's fame was fleeting. Warning didn't even go platinum. And their Greatest Hits cd had 21 songs and each song was a pretty big hit. I don't even think Limp Bizkit has 12 songs they could put on there.
Counterfeit Faith Nookie Break Stuff N 2 Gether Now My Generation My Way Rollin' Take A Look Around Boiler Eat You Alive Build A Bridge Behind Blue Eyes The Truth Then those unreleased songs Fred was talking about.
See, that's different though. Look at their career after International Superhits. They fucking exploded. Bam. Kaboom. Pop, if you will.
Uh, yeah. Rollin', Break Stuff, My Generation, My Way, Nookie, Faith...shit, those singles hit the charts HARD. I heard them all the time. I'm looking forward to it, considering I dont have any Limp albums besides Results May Vary, Chocolate Starfish, and a downloaded copy of The Truth, Pt 1. (Thats unedited, I don't count edited CDs anymore)
I think that they're only pushing a "greatest hits" album to promote the unreleased material. Not very many people would buy a CD of unreleased material, unless it's brand-new. I know I wouldn't buy a CD of demos.
Well lookes like a great album with all they're greatest hits and all but what if the pt2 of the new album has a massive succes then they won't sell as much of there greatest hits cd i think

Warning went platinum twice actualy As a matter of fact the only Green Day cd's that havn't gone platinum are Shenanigans,Slappy Hour and Kurplunk probably because they're less well known than the others. And I can name 12 songs Limp Bizkit could put up there: Nookie Faith Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle) My Way Rollin' (Urban Assault Vehicle ft. DMX,Redman & Methodman) Boiler Eat you Alive Behind Blue Eyes Build A Bridge Creamer (radio is dead) Livin' It Up Getcha Groove On (ft. Xzibit)

Check it out, if you have a better source I'd like to see the real stats. http://greendayauthority.com/TheBand/chart...rthistory.shtml I think LB is just trying too hard to stay popular when their time is up. I don't think they can do anything to change their popularity. Unless Fred leaves the band.

Well I can't give you an official source but I remember back in 2002 Kerrang TV had a Green Day week celebrating the release of shenanigans and the dude said somthing along the lines of "Following the dream release of Warning a CD that went 2 times platinum we celebrate Green Day's mockery of authority as we get geared up for the release of shenanigans" You're probably right though if that site has the official stats. Back on topic Sometimes I think Limp Bizkit are just out to make money, especialy with stuff like TUT and now a greatest hits album.

I wouldn't say that it had much to do with Superhits!, though.
I hope I didn't imply that because that's not what I said. So often does a greatest hits collection signify the end of a career. Their career is obviously not over.
