Stop the Press! A gift to you all!

For the past few months we have been relentlessly trying to track down full length CD versions of Fort Minor songs! And now at last we have been successful! LPA is proud to host and present to you a 128kbps CD rip of "Remember The Name".

*Update* If you wish to hear the song, Rap Basement now has the song availible for hosting. Please go to their site here if you wish to hear the song as the old host is now down. Thanks!

Can I take a guess at how you got the track? I know at the end of the concert Mike and SOB threw some CDs out into the crowd, did someone catch one and rip the song from it?

    Sounds plausible.

It also means that there might be some other tracks to go into circulation in the near future.

    THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
i had the sample from the website looping on my computer for like ages and I've been waiting ever so patiently like all you lovely Fort Minor lovers.

Let me be the first to say (and in a way I can't believe I'm saying this but I can justify it) but if all the other songs on the album are even half as good as Remember the Name, I would not be as sad if LP didn't make another studio album (at least not for awhile)...I say this because LP hasn't come out with anything in ages and yes I love them to death, but they gotta come out with some new stuff (which thankfully they're working on now!!!) but this just shows how talented and creative each member is, and in a way, with Chester's solo album also coming out and mr. Hahn's short film, these side projects dissect each member and magnify them by millions. Now if they can bring this much creative juice to the next album, I think that might be my only reason to live :D .....
but gettin back to the now!!!
Thank you sooo sooo sooo much for posting this song and please, I wanna hear how it got out (and maybe this is what Mike meant by us having to search for it) we just got really really lucky :p .....

100% reason to remember the name!!!!! PEACE!!!

    Holy Jeebus.

Have to be honest and say that what I expected was what I got.

    Brilliant!

Want to know how it was leaked though... could this be a demo? The intro does sound a bit different on FM (there's no whirring electronic sound in the back ground on this song...)

I dont think this is a demo. What might be the case is that the 'whirr' is from an previous track that blended into Remember The Name, and this is a direct rip of Remember The Name from the CD (so the previous track blend isnt there).

    Thats my only guess.

Or maybe the one put on the FM site was an earlier version and the noises were removed after the fact.

    There could be many possibilities...

    Mike either:

    1) Re-did the song for the website so it wouldn't get as old so fast.

    2) That version on the website is a demo.

I personally think that the version that's posted on here, is the real deal. Demos are never that good quality, ever. That track sounds mixed, and mastered,
