Slipknot stole everything but talent from GWAR. GWAR referred to their fans as "maggots" until the early 90s and started to refer to them at Bohabs. I dunno why they changed it though.
Right, im sick of everyone making a big deal about the so called "war" between Mushroomhead and Slipknot. They both formed at almost the same time, and both had the idea of using masks. Neither band knew about the other unitl Slipknot signed to roadrunner and started recording their first album. They then became well known and that is when the rumors began. The war is ultimately between the FANS of each band, not the bands them selves. ANYWAYS back on topic... I think threarening to sue Burger King for their cheasy band that "ripped off" slipknot, is a really stupid idea on behave of Slipknot. Let if go, its a cheasy band that will be done with shortly (IMO), I dont think its anything worth making a big deal over.
So I'm assuming Slipknot hasn't seen Supersize Me? This little beef is about as bad asthat time Coolio went after Wierd Al for Amish Paradise.
Other people listed in the lawsuit: Bozo the Clown The Power Rangers Kiss among others... So kids, if you plan on wearing masks this Halloween, Slipknot will sue you!
Actually, I just saw the commercial and wow. The masks they wore look nothing like slipknots. They don't wear jumpsuits. It'll get thrown out, the music doesn't sound like them at all either.
