Here's another find. Just before the chorus in Faint, you can hear a dial or busy tone probably done by Joe

No, im sure im not hearing things. Maybe because I do alot of mixing and stuff, I have a natural talent for isolating certain elements of a song into my head. This is bad for when I listen to BTH tho because there is a constant *ting* sound with the drums

Of course you can hear rain. You don't have to turn it up for that. May I suggest a hearing-aid?

Anyway, the sound you're hearing in "Faint" is the same one at the end of the song. It's similar to a busy signal but I'm not sure if it is. Perhaps it was but was tweaked with to sound that way.

Another thing that I'm not sure that has been mentioned is the sound at the end of "Session" is similar to the sound you hear when the mirror "takes over" Neo's body in The Matrix. You know, the part where he tries to scream but that "T-1000 [Terminator 2 humor]" mirror liquid gets inside his mouth. This is prior to the scene where he "wakes up" from The Matrix.

I noticed that about a month ago, I was talking to Will about it.

I thought i was the only one who had heard that. how cool.

Anyone else notice the grunt on the 4th or 5th bang in Forword? you need headphones. Did you also notice that in alot of the songs, the volume fades from ear to ear?

Yeah I have noticed the fading from ear to ear. But I think thats cool. Now if it did it through the whole song. That would be annoying.

I guess the grunt makes sense, I mean that banging noise IS Mike banging his Cd burner off of a table, he probably got WAY too into it  thats our Mike!

That's called pitchshifting, I think. Or maybe it's panning. It's one of those two.
