No surprise there. Did anybody watch the awards? I didn't.
I didn't watch them. I'm actually surprised, though, that My Chemical Romance didn't take an award or two. They've become surprisingly popular with the mainstream audiences.
I saw bits and pieces and found out who won the awards and such. Was kind of pissed that MCR didn't play longer but I guess since it was "unannounced" that they couldn't.
MCR performed?!? Damnit. I guess I'll have to catch it when it airs 2139823912 times. Did they perform "Helena"? I'm a bit mad that they didn't atleast win one award. <_<
Yeah they did, but the pisser was that they only performed half of the song and then they cut to another presenter. It was cool while it lasted, they gave the fans white umbrellas and the chick in the video came out and was crowd surfing
What the fuck? That's one of the reasons I didn't / not going to watch it right there.
Well she started dancing like in the video, next thing I know she's in the crowd. Oh, and Gerard was wearing a bulletproof vest.

I missed the last hour right up to Coldplay's performance of "Speed of Sound." Personally, I thought the awards were horrible, like last year. It was boring, and that asshole Diddy couldn't have been more self-absorbed. He made himself seem like a king, and every single interlude in the show was somehow advocating him.
Probably because he knew 50 Cent was there. B)
Yeah, actually that it was for. EDIT: BTW, just found out that you can watch the entire damn show on MTV's Overdrive thingy.
I watched the awards. I can't believe Fall Out Boy won MCR for the MTV2 award. And it sucks that MCR didn't win any awards at all. FOB looked soo nerdy, I just couldn't help but laugh at them when they came up for their award. I can't believe Ludacris won Best Rap. The Game should have won. But the whole thing with 50 might have been ... eh. And what was it that 50 Cent said at the end of his performance? He was saying "F*ck you" (I think) to a whole lot of people. I'm happy that The Killers won Best New Artist but it would have been cool if MCR would have one instead. And I'm glad that Green Day won like everthing they were nominated for. That kicked ass! I know they didn't win one of the award they were nominated for. Which one was that?
Just to complete your list Best Editing: Green Day, "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." Best Cinematography: Green Day, "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." Best Direction: Green Day, "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." Best Art Direction: Gwen Stefani, "What Are You Waiting For?" Best Special Effects: Gorillaz, "Feel Good Inc." Best Video Game Soundtrack: Dance Dance Revolution Extreme. The best part of the show were Mike's instrumentals
is it me, or were the fountains/fireworks too tacky? the stage has been designed better, and this year's wasn't it's best.
I think it was better than last years and the year before that too. I'll admit, Diddy did put up a good show. Jimmy Falon's was funnier though.
