Sorry but "Remember The Name" would have been ten times better as the lead single. Interesting track though.

Remember The Name might've been a better single but, really where was Mike on that track? His parts were small.

Remember the Name was a better song, but petrified is more "radio-friendly", its a great choice for a single

I think it will work well.....not as catchy as RTN but Mike has a much better flow on this track and I think it will represent him well

The crack in the levy line worries me a little. I realize Mike wrote it months ago but this is TERRIBLE timing with the New Orleans disaster.

I'd much rather have this be a later single.

oops..didnt even realize that.....they could probably edit that line out......just for the radio and video...but yeah I agree...
but anyways I like the track well enough...the only REAL thing that worried me about the rising tied was just a few of mikes parts in Remember the name......but I still think that track is banging

They are both good tracks. I could care less which one he picks as a single.

Remember the Name, I think, is way better than Petrified. But it's a good song, I'll give you that.

    The intro with Mike saying:

"Hi I'm Mike... etc. etc." was absolutely hilarious though.

For some strange reason I couldn't help but laugh. Especially in the beginning. I still think the track is awesome though. ^_^

This is a party track though. The chorus is just begging for it.

I can see this being remixed into something awesome.

    Not that it already isn't.

This track was ment for one thing, dancing! The beat and rhythem is down right infectious, and the "Stop, bring it back bring it back," is off the chain, I could see this hitting DJ's all over for air time at their parties, especialy with the BARR sound that House of Pain uses alot, like in the "Jump Around" song. Oddly enough, Mike does sound like Em on the "You and your boys dont know me/ show me/ homie!" or something like that. When he says "Stop!" I keep wanting go, "Hammer Time!".

Overall, the intro isnt all that good till the beat drops, and being a party/dance song the lyrics are anything but deep, but infectious it is, and the rap and beat is crisp. I give it a 6.5/10 and I give "Remember the Name" 7.3/10, although his rap flow is better on "Petrified", the music is better RTN and the subject is alittle better. Personaly, I want to hear the one where he raps fast as hell like he used to with Xero, and the serious ones, where he shows us his vocabular skills.

I love RTN but i'm not really feeling this track. Mike's flow and lyrical conctent on this one aren't up to par. I've been saying this for a while but why can't mike rap 3 verses? in everysong all we get is two, i don't think u can really taken him seriously as a solo rapper unless he dropps a full song. I hope on TRT we'll get to hear at least 1 song where Mike raps more than 2 verses!

I think this is way better than RTN. No offense to RTN lovers but Mike's lyrics didn't match the flow and RTN tried so hard to be complex in some spots that it made the song boring in my opinion.

Mike's funny, the lyrics are a little better then RTN and he matches the flow. Plus the song is addictive all the way through.

Good choice for a single. I hope the 'garage band' files get released for this.
