'Believe Me', This Is The First Single?

    A recent e-press release on Machine Shop's website reveals that 'Believe Me' is planned to be the first single. This official report conflicts with earlier reports that 'Petrified', a song already released, would be the first single. As the press release reads:

    Not to say that it's an entirely homogenized collection. On the first single, "Believe Me," excerpts from a decaying relationship tremble over a seismic breakbeat, infused with Latin percussion and a cello-bass line that reflects Shinoda's love of classic rock.

    The article appears to detail the aura of most tracks on the album, which at this point includes:

    - Believe Me
    - High Road
    - Remember The Name
    - Where'd You Go?
    - Back Home
    - Right Now
    - Petrified
    - Kenji
    - Get Me Gone

    Eh? Ok, so Believe Me is the new single. Wow, 3 songs coming out to the public at once. Can't wait still. :)

    I personally think three different tracks is too many to hear before the album is released. It kinda ruins the impact of putting in the CD and hearing no other track but the single, but whatever. Most people will download it anyway.

    I've only listened to Petrified once & Remember The Name two - three times. I'd much rather wait for the album, than ruin it by overplaying tracks from it before it's released.

    ''believe me'' sounds like a track where mike wants ppl 2 think of him as
    an artist....no that they didnt like about him like that b4 but tell everyone that he can do wut he wants....if u kno wut i mean? i rlly cant put the words 2 it but im sure u kno wut i mean...

    the beat sounds cool and the song meaning the name speaks for itself

    I didnt like Petrified that much, so im looking forward to this being his debut song.

    'Believe Me', Mike Is Confusing.

    But Mike never said what the first single was. The MTV article just discusses the song, which may just be for hype or net release...

    Yeah, I'd trust machine shop marketing over MTV anyday. MTV's reporting is laughable at times.

    Well is there the possibility that neither Petrified or Remember The Name are on The Rising Tied? Decoy's - so to speak, to distract from the dropping of the album?

    they just said "believe me" is the first single...maybe they meant that by it being the first song on the album...

    and it would make sense cuz i remember reading somewhere that they were filming the video for petrified now...

    so yeha....
    it may just be a shneaky use of wording to distract us from something (possibly the video)..

    theres no real wayy of knowing untill mike says on FM.com which is the first single. however i kinda believe Machine Shop, when they say Believe Me is the first single.

    Either way - i cant wait for the album ^_^

    Sweet, confusing guy but whatever. I'll probably download the cd beforehand anyways. So i dont care how many tracks are released or leaked on the net.

    im not gunna download the cd, im gunna buy it and burn the songs by windows media player so i can put them on my mp3 player! :) thats wut i meant..... lol

    Well, so far I have liked Petrified and Remember The Name, so hopefully I will enjoy Believe Me. I don't really care what singles are released then, or where, but I just want to here the album.

    I'm sure that the reason that you can't "put the words to it" because you don't know how to spell them.




    I think we should just wait until the video premieres on TV because, then, we'll all know what the debut single is. :lol:

    I knew Petrified wasn't the first single since on the player it said that "after you put all the clips together and produce a track, you will get to hear the first single" or something along those lines.
