According to Linkin Park.com: "Saturday, September 10th, multiple live concerts will air on MTV, VH1, and CMT to raise donations and awareness for the Hurricane Katrina disaster. The live performances will be held in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Nashville, featuring Ludacris, Green Day, Gretchen Wilson, Usher, Alicia Keys, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews Band, Rob Thomas, David Banner, Linkin Park's Chester Bennington, and more. To make your donation to the Hurricane Katrina disaster, please visit www.musicforrelief.org." Thanks to driftingawaylp for the news!
I wonder if MTV is going to screw it up like they did with Live 8? Hopefully they've learned from their mistakes. I am interested in what Chester will sing. I also hope a substantial amount of money can be raised from this.
I agree with Andrea. It's disturbing to know that this is the most catastrophic natural disaster to happen to the US. I've encouraged my friends to donate money to the Red Cross and it's amazing how people are uniting to help one another.
Nope.
No, he's right... Think about it. Both Chester and Mike's album are coming out within a 2 month difference (basically a similar time frame). Mike finished his album and premiered a track in August. Chester has a few songs "in the can", and judging by the fact he is not performing with his bandmates (which is UNUSUAL) further suggests the theory. I have a good feeling with this..thank god for tiVo .
I was being sarcastic, but you're still right.
lol i cant wait to hear chesters new material but sadly its for all the wrong reasons... i hope these shows will raise a large amount and help aid get to the effected areas.
They'd better. Derek| Wow, I'm right for once. Amazing.
I thought it before you posted it.
I thought it before you posted it.
Stop trying to take credit. You know I posted it first.
Do you americans really need donations? Surely your Government has enough resources and money. The problem lies within getting those items and support into effective use as soon as possible... But I won't sneeze at a concert!
