New Linkin Park Album: Early 2006?

    According to a recent article on Billboard.com, Linkin Park are eyeing a Spring 2006 release of their follow-up to March 2003's 'Meteora', which has sold over five million copies to date. Details will be posted once they eventually become available.

    I trust it because it's billboard and as far as I know they always confirm their facts. But this would have to mean that Chester is recording his solo album and then going right into the other studio to record Meteora's followup.

    It would however explain why Chester's voice sounded so good on REACTNow, it seems Chester's voice is always at it's prime after a long stint in the studio.

    Mike recorded The Rising Tied within a year without us knowing and we found out about it in April. I mean, who knows? Linkin Park could've been in the studio working on a new album.

    Well, I do recall seeing somewhere that they (LP) had the material ready, all that got in the way of LP's new album being out by the end of this year was the row between them and WB, which, I'm guessing they've got that settled...or atleast, called a truce.

    I can't wait to get my hands on Chester's album and the new LP album (sorry Akira, nothing personal...but I go for more of a rock vibe)

    yea, i'd have thought that since their primary songwriters were busy, that we'd be waiting another age or so, but if they already have the material, then it won't take as long.

    on top of that, there's the FM album, chester's album....
    ..... so much to look foward to! ^_^

    and speaking of those side-projects; when we first heard "numb/encore" (the live version; the first we ever heard of collision course material), lots of people said that chester's voice had improved a lot since LP's last material; i believe the same can be said for "let down" - chester's voice is a lot better now, perhaps because he is singing a song which brings it out well.

    Yea, because the songwriters are busy doing their own thing, that gives the rest of the band plenty of time to work of new material.

    Can't wait. :thumbsup:

    i cannot wait for a pure linkin park album!! i mean im enjoying the fact that mike and chester want to express there own feelings in their music! but i still wanna hear how theyre gunna sound when they come back! and once they've experienced with what they've done on their solo projects and who knows wut they can bring 2 the table 2gether!

    And Maybe lp will feat. some artists on their album?? but i wonder if theyre 3rd album is gunna be as sucesful as meteora! a ht but until that time at least we have mikes solo and chesters solo! so im sure *listens to remember the name* it'll go by fast! ^_^

    You serious?

    I think their older works were leagues ahead of Meteora. Although some dont agree, I think they actually took a step down with Meteora rather then a step forward.

    And what's this BS about primary songwriters? You should say Mike and Chester.

    Cause when you say it the other way it seems like you're suggesting they dont write their own songs :p.
