I don't even know what it is about. A synopsis would've been nice. I guess I'll search for one. Ehhh, The Rock? He needs to just quit his little acting career and go back to wrestling. He can't act worth shit.
If you SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! what the rock is cooking! well acctually.....no. i played some of doom 1 and thought it was just another FPS so why make a movie out of doom and why not like rainbow six or conflict desert storm. Movie + The Rock = Empty cinema
I dunno if any of you guys heard about this, but there's even a part of the movie with the classic FPS perspective, where the camera is behind a marine with the gun sticking out in front. Personally I think that sounds cool. It's a good way to pay homage to the games.
I think The Rock is a decent actor. Better than all the other wrestlers that tried to crossover, anyways. I mean... Andre The Giant? Hulk Hogan? Undertaker? Austin? Piper? Come on. I liked The Rock alot in Walking Tall (one of my favorite movies), and The Rundown was decent. I just don't like the jungle setting, really. I'll pick up the DVD when it's released. Since it's rated R, and I can't see it in the theater.
I'll agree with Casey that Walking Tall is a great film and The Rock didn't act too badly in it but The Rundown/Welcome To The Jungle looked good in the ads but turned out to be quite crap IMO
The Rock didn't do too bad in Be Cool either, he's a more than decent actor. Doom, call me crazy, I think may be a good movie. I dunno why.
well, i'm a doom fan too, albeit a new one. i've been playing the games for ages but i never really got into it until recently. and then i heard about this movie.... and i loved the trailer. as for the film itself, i'm not entirely sure i'm going to see it. especially since it's rated R, i won't be able to see it until it comes out on DVD. you have to admit, though the circumstances are sort of different, that something similar happened with the AVP movie (now, i'm a real big AVP fan; just before the film came out, i was playing AVP2) - the games were good; the trailer was good; the film ... wasn't as good as everything made it out to be. from what i figure so far, doom is going through the same thing.
I liked the role he played in "Be Cool", but that's about it. Making a movie on Halo is enough. Why one on Doom?
That's why The Scorpion King broke box office records, right? I think The Rock is a good actor. :wth:
I think he's a pretty good actor, too. Nothing amazing, but he certainly isn't bad. The Doom movie's going to suck. The first trailer looked good, then the second... ew. The first-person footage is just silly-looking.
to tell the truth, the first person is going to be totally diffrent. it could be a evolution of craptacular game movies. you never know. they may take that same idea into a halo movie
