    I can just see one big flame thread out of this...
    But i perfer both , i dont have a problem with either of them.

    Both are fine.

    But I find this thread pointless. It's just 2 genres.

    I prefer rap. Don't get me wrong, I still love to listen to some rock bands once in a while. :)

    Neither is better than the other. The question should be which one do you prefer. Different people have different tastes. I personally prefer rap over rock.

    It depends what mood I am in. Most of the time I listen to rock music and then there are times when I listen to rap. Both genres are fine.

    The only thing is, there are plenty of acts that could fit under rock out there whereas there are plenty less for rap

    I like both.

    There is no better genre. As NickelNine said before me, it's all a matter of preference.

    I like Rock. I don't like Rap. I really can't see how you can like them both the same. I mean, if you really like a certain type a music then how can you like another just as much?

    I like Rock, some Trance and some Pop. I don't like Trance just as much as Rock or Pop just as much a Rock--it just ain't happening.

    I prefer rock, but I like rap. As it's been said, neither one is better than the other. But, think about this: Both genres have similar themes if you really listen to the lyrics. Isolation, hate, pain, sex... Rap and rock may sound different, but they're the same in spirit.
