source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/4432564.stm Huh. Maybe this is a first step to a cure, or at least a clue for a cure... Though the skeptic in me still wants to think there's been a mistake somewhere.
i think its propoganda to raise the HIV infected people's morale...but i could be wrong...like they said, they could've mixed up the test results...
lol this is so grand. i'll love the nerds to be at this so much. actually, talking about the nerds at being at this, the scientist are working on more blood samples to figure out how he did it.
I find it impossible to believe that he "cured" himself. I can't even cure myself of a damn common cold. What most likley happened, was the test he originally took returned a false result. It's possible for tests to do that. They're extremley accurate, but nothings 100% accurate. There's a very, very slim margin of error, and that is most likley what happened. He probably never had HIV. So don't get your hopes up of a cure. Scientists are not going to benefit from a man who cured himself of a disease he probably never had.
Exactly, that's what most likely happened, but if he really did have HIV, it could open up alot of possibilities.
the doctors said the tests they did before and after were correct - but like yu said i have an element of doubt
I'm inclined to think that the original test (which said he was positive) was at fault... ..then again I can be overly cynical about these things.
