im a little baffled by this 'we major' thing. if these are by fort minor why arent they on the album? didnt make the cut or something? cuz i am going to dl them now
no help sry yo, I all ready kinda know that so it doesn't really help. But aren't those tracks legit songs by mike shinoda, they just didn't happen to make the cut????
Songs on the mixtape were either: 1. Recorded after The Rising Tied was already finished (the album was already completed several months before it came out, the last mixtape tracks were finished just a few days before it came out in October) 2. Remixes of songs that wouldn't make any sense being on the album in the first place (There They Go, Petrified, Remember the Name, Nobody's Listening, Bleach) 3. Songs containing copyrighted samples that couldn't have been released commercially without permission (Dolla, SCOM, Bloc Party, All Night, Respect 4 Grandma) 4. Songs that didn't have Mike on them, so they made no sense to go on the album anyway (Get It, All Night, SCOM) So really, the only 3 songs from the mixtape that could have even been considered for the album were Spraypaint and Inkpens, Cover and Duck, and 100 Degrees.
No, the songs on the mixtape were released before The Rising Tied to hype the public about it. They're not technically b-sides or anything although some forms of them appear on the special edition, but they are songs by Fort Minor and the crew they surround themselves with. edit: Damn, Tasta beat me to it.
to be honest once the rising tied came out the mixtape is crap....no offence well lyrically lol! i still like it no doubt but the lyrics are weak
Yeah, some of the mixtape tracks have that "guns, drugs, and girls" content in the lyrics, it's more like mainstream rap lyrically.
Oh boy, I really hated the mixtape. The only good tracks on there are 100 Degrees and Cover And Duck, both I don't know why didn't make the album. It was produced by Green Lantern and is basically remixes of some RT songs, and the FM songs that didn't make the album in remix form.
