Take as long as they want. I'm not rushing for a LP album anytime soon. It's awesome news though.

15 million dollar advance = industry anal rape.

Trust this, unless LP sell like The Eagles, it wont help shit. Maybe it'll make them motivated to make a record that'll sell and make all that money back and then some, but DAMN. They should invest it or something. Put it in a savings account with a high interest rate.

are you clueless? that was probably the last thing on thier minds. they want to make sure if they make music, it is going to be put out for the masses and marketed properly.

Hello... MixMedia wants to speak with you.

Actually, seeing as the Hybrid Theory EP was released BEFORE they signed onto Warner, I think the company that gave them their start isn't associated anymore.

How do you explain a Warner producer who makes a band rewrite a song no less than 40 times?

Go take a simple song. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Now go rewrite it 40 times in 40 different ways.

    Hard, isn't it?

A 15 million dollar advance can be explained by the way the music industry is set up. You see, a band doesn't recieve any money from an album at all until at least a million albums are sold. Producers, mixers, CEOs, and random people in Warner Brothers who DIDN'T write the music or perform it get money before the bands.

So until they reach that million mark, a band will be IN DEBT. The real money made from artists involves tours. Otherwise, major record companies are screwing artists money-wise. A regular CD costs what? 15 dollars? Do you know how much an artist recieves from that? Usually about 10 cents. Now divide that 10 cents among 6 members of the band.

Every band has different contracts with their record label. So you can't just say that is what every band gets form their label cause it is different for every band. Not like every band has to wait until they hit the million plateau before they get revenue from their cd's. I mean itf they are a brand new band it would be pretty a pretty tough task to hit that million.

Plus how is the band in debt, that is the idea of of getting a recording contract, the recod label pays for everything, that has to do with the production of the CD. That is everything from the studio time to actually producing and promoting the CD.

Unless someone convinces me that warner suck I have nothing against warner, whatever song they had to write over 40 times, it sounds good to me, I dont have any doubts about meteora, I wouldnt change a thing.

Yah well apparently you don't know much about music and you are just one of those people who looks for something that is catchy. Sorry to burst your bubble my friend but that is what the music industry wants is for people to latch onto catchy shit. Cause all they are doing is making money. There is more wrong with Meteora than you can admit, its time u wake up and smell the coffee beans, yes i mean that shit other than folgers.

Thats what i'm saying though they can have my money, its not affecting my life that they are making money, good for them. I admit i don't know much about music really. Basically you are saying that meteora was manufactured?
