That's the point. By releasing an album, they AREN'T making money. Unless, of course, you wait for a million or so people to buy the album first.

Yes, Meteora was in fact manufactured. Hybrid Theory had that level of experimentation. Meteora... well.. it's just rehasing what has already been done in Hybrid Theory.

 

Well, in many cases, half the people that are paid through these albums aren't even involved with the album. It's like getting paid for something you didn't do.

 

Well thats the business and thats how it works. Can't really blame people for making money, I mean that is one of the biggest parts of peoples lives.

That's why they call it an "advance". The thought is, they front you the money, you produce it, use it, etc. Then you pay them back with your sales. Thus, if your record tanks, you could in some deep schiza.
