What are some programs (besides Quicktime Pro) that convert video to be playable on an iPod Video. I waited until I received the iPod video to determine whether my current videos could be played but they can't.

Also, does Quicktime Pro actually work in converting most video files to an iPodable (hehe) format.

Ah, you're in luck, as I just found this program the other day, and it works great, imo. Videora iPod Converter

Ah, that program works great! It was so cool to see a 30 minute AC/DC Concert from 1977 that I had on my computer! I'm now trying to see if I can rip Live In Texas onto my computer and then convert it...all seems to look good but we'll have to see.

I've converted a few files already, no problems. Although I'm still waiting to get my iPod.

Awesome. I got my 30GB White iPod yesterday for Christmas/Chanukah. One thing that annoyed me that I knew in advance was the lack of accessories Apple cheaped out on. There was no AC Adapter or dock included.

I was able to fit LIT on the iPod in separate parts.

if you own a Mac you might be in trouble because you will probably more likely to pay for programs like that...but if you own a PC you are sitting on a gold mine for ipod video converters. check out Videora iPod Converter which is one i am currently using to convert my movies and such. I know of others as well but Videora is the simplest and the best. If you own Windows Media Center, you get an integrated program that will convert all of your video's including shows/movies you have recorded with Tivo.
