I have a rowing regatta tomorrow and I'd like to make a playlist to listen to while rowing/working out/exercising in general. What I'm looking for are fast-paced, energetic, and really aggressive songs, kind of along the lines of 'Dirthouse' by Static-X, or 'Sleep Now In The Fire' by Rage Against The Machine. I'm open to all types of music, and any suggestions would be great.
This is an awesome mix I use to jog too, should work for any high-energy workout... 1.Mortal Combat Theme [Mortal Combat Soundtrack] 2.Weapons of Mad Distortion [The Crystal Method] 3.Smack My Bitch Up [Prodigy] 4.Eye of the Tiger [Rocky Soundtrack] 5.Set it Off [P.O.D] Overall it is 22 minutes long, perfect for my jog routine, or for any aerobic exercise.
When I work out, I either listen to all of Flogging Molly's album, "Swagger" or I listen to some fast paced classical piano pieces.
I use Sum 41s "Does This Look Infected?" and AC/DCs "Highway To Hell" when I jog. My friend uses the jazz tune "Take Five" and the concert band tune "Bolero." Not necessarily upbeat, but a good pace for doing different weights I think. Those probably wouldn't be suitable for you considering you're looking for mroe aggresive tunes, but I thought I'd throw them out.
