    J-Pop and J-Rock is the best ever! My current faves (well, the ones i know really) are:

    UVERworld
    Do As Infinity
    Asian Kung-Fu Generation
    Orange Range
    Every Little Thing

    I know some other random stuff from all the anime i watch but those are the ones i have a fair few songs from

    Are Mad Capsule Markets japanese? If they are then they're my favorite (and only) japanese rock band.

    Samurai River is a pretty awesome band that I stumbled upon on Purevolume.

    I'm a big fan of Do As Infinity, Utada Hikaru, and Ayumi Hamasaki.

    Oh, and I guess the Seatbelts count too.

    Most of the Japanese songs I've heard come from anime, but they are really good. The only bands I know the names of are L'arc~en~Ciel and The Pillows. I love Ride on Shootng Star by the Pillows.
