A man who has obviously not heard of a device called the volume control has filed a class action suit against Apple Computer, saying the company has failed to take adequate steps to prevent hearing loss among iPod users. The suit, filed Tuesday in US District Court in San Jose, California., charges that the iPod music player can produce sounds of up to 115 decibels even though some studies suggest that listening to music at that level for 28 seconds a day can cause damage over time. Hmm...digital music device, listening to music through my ears, adjustable volume. Nope, can't possibly lose hearing.
I saw that today too. People like this need to be shipped to Siberia. I mean...it's called "YOU CONTROL THE VOLUME"... Idiot.
Saw this on GFF a few days ago. It's ridiculous. What kind of idiot complains about something that is easily changable such as volume. Yeah, volume on iPod's is very loud but still, will it really kill him to just turn it down? As much as i don't like the iPod's, this is just plain stupid
Is there something wrong with Siberia, Joe? Maybe his volume button broke. Either that or he's got a severe case of 'I couldn't find my own nose'
Well, he'd be pissed off to know you can donwload programs that can increase the volume of your iPod way past the decibel level of the device.
hes only doing it for the money. if theres a way of making money someone will go and do it, no matter what it is.
people do it just to get money. and the funny thing is that when he gets enough people on his side, apple is going to give them all money to shut up. same thing happened at mcdonald's with the fry grease (like OH MY GOD it has TRANS FAT!!!!) i was working there, and we got sued. and it was funny, everyone who qualified for the class action suit was anyone who ate mcds food from like september 1997 to december 2004 or something like that. at least 2 million people. and they just paid to shut the people up. that guy isn't going to get any money. the more people join him, the less he gets. hahaha.
Like that lady who sued the microwave company for not having a warning about it being dangerous to try to dry your poodle in the microwave. I'm not kidding either.
