erm...I think it's just a really dark night?...I have no idea, but I don't think that's the Venom black suit. Probably just some lighting effect indicating the color theme for the posters for the third installment to the film.

actually, I have no idea now. LoL It's posted on the official site as the 'black site' hmm...time will tell.

From Wikipedia (yes, I know the 'dubious' nature of the source, but bear with me) (Spoilers for those who read the Ultimate Marvel comics):

Thanks Minus! Wow, surprising how the storyline for Venom was altered so much when compared to the original Marvel Universe.

Basically, Venom is made up from an alien symbiote that in most cases regarding Spider-Man, came from space. The symbiote bonded to Eddie Brock, after Spider-Man defeated Venom / Eddie Brock, the symbiote managed to bond with Spider-Man / Peter Parker, thus giving him "the black suit". The symbiote at first, actually worked better for Peter Parker, but it began to bond with him more & more and then eventually tried to take over Peter all together. Peter then had to somehow get rid of the alien symbiote. The most common way Spidey did this was sending it back to space via a rocket from a NASA launching site.

Spider-Man basically temporarily exchanged his traditional red & blue costume for the symbiote which appears black. Only for a short while though. There are other ways this happened, but this is the most commonly associated story regarding Spider Man & "the black suit".

In a 2005 story arc spanning 12 parts, across several titles, Spider-Man finds himself cursed, killed, and eventually reborn in a metamorphic experience which "evolves" his powers, including the addition of new "stingers," as well as upgraded speed and spider-sense. The last issue of "The Other" series revealed three of Spider-Man's new abilities including the ability to see in the dark, the ability to attach things to his back (a variation of his wall-crawling), and an ability to "feel" his environment as he can detect vibrations from his immediate surroundings due to his web and hairs on his arms. He also gained a new costume (see below).

Many fans misinterpreted the intent of both the "Ezekiel" and "The Other" storylines as an attempt to somehow rewrite Spider-Man's origin into one of a mystical nature. Although the storyline throws Peter into a variety of mystical situations, the actual undertone of the stories is of a philosophical nature, and should be taken as such as opposed to being taken literally.

After the events of The Other, Iron Man is giving Spidey a new costume with a red and gold color scheme, designed by Tony Stark to deal with his transformation. Supported by a system similar to that of Stark's classic 'Iron Man' design, it features gadgets that will each have a power that mirrors one of Spidey's classic villains; for instance, three mechanical spider-arms to combat the merciless mechanical tail of The Scorpion. Other features include, but are not limited to: mesh webbing that will allow gliding for short distances, heat resistant Kevlar micro-fiber that can withstand small-caliber bullets, built in fire, police, and emergency scanner, audio and visual amplification including infrared and ultra-violet, carbon filters in the mouth area to keep out toxins, and a short range GPS microwave communication system. All of these are routed through a computerized control system in the titanium chestpiece.

And if you read through the thread, you'd realize that the 'teaser' is a fake. I mean, come on, it uses a clip from Spawn at the end.
