Mr. Hahn Painting on Display

    For those of you in the Los Angeles area, an original painting from Linkin Park member Joseph Hahn is currently on display for public viewing at Gallery 1988. The exhibition, titled "I Am 8-Bit", is inspired by videogaming in the 1980s.

    The oil painting on a wood backround is titled "IMA8BITCH", and is available for purchase for $2000, and is based on the NES game Metroid. The game's main character, the female protagonist Samus, is nude except for her helmet in the racy painting, which is viewable here, towards the bottom of the page, so clicker beware.

    There are some really amazing paintings done in that gallery. Haha I wish I could paint/draw well

    Why be disappointed, I think it's great art work, every complete peice of artwork should deserve great admiration, and every peice that Joe Hahn has ever created definitely deserves it's own moment of admiration.

    this was created a while ago no? maybe the people who dont like it are only interested in his modern stuff, the ones where he has grown as an artist...

    Not bad at all, but my girlfriend has better pieces than that. Hahn definately is talented, though.

    Do you guys even get the painting?

    people first found out that samus was a woman when she took here helmet off at the end of the game.... this is like that only she leaves the helmet on....
    It's a bit pervy but I like the concept... wish he did multiple peices though

    I'm not such a great fan of naked women on paintings but I gotta say that Hahn's done good work!!

    When I first saw the title of his painting IMA8TBITCH I thought it said "I mate bitch".

    It's a cool painting though, I love it.

    Interesting painting. It's not the best but a very cool representation of Metroid's hero.

    oops... sorry I've found it...

    it's him... it's his style... I don't wanna sound like I know anything about art but I think it's Mr. Hahn's style... It's good... not his best...
