Yeah, Tonight actually let me down. I was really hoping for Edmonton to tie it up so it'd go into Overtime. They certainly had enough chances...but it just didn't work out.

I actually forgot that I put Carolina in 7. Lucky guess, I suppose. :shifty:

Mark pretty much summed it up for me.

If people still want to discuss the Draft, trade rumours, signings, etc., can we still use this thread.

If not, see you next season!

Yeah, just use this for all NHL discussion, it's the biggest and longest running hockey thread we've had.

I had to tie with Mark. It's a conspiracy

Oh well, what he said. Carolina deserves it.

Good hockey season, hopefully the Oilers can build a good team for next year.

Looking forward to Saturday's draft. I hope Bryan Little drops to #13 so the Leafs can pick him up. If not, Sheppard's a taller player with great playmaking and stickhandling skills.

The NHL Draft is already this Saturday?

Well in other news, Joe Thorton from the Sharks got the MVP of the year. Don't really know what he did though.

Led the league in scoring. Had 90+ points in the last 50 games. Made Jonathan Cheechoo the highest goal scorer in years (56). Almost singlehandedly brought San Jose from 12th in the West to 5th by the end of the year (not easy, tough conference).
All after being traded to San Jose from Boston in November.

    LUONGO!

This could pan out to be a complete bust for either of the teams.

If Dave Nonis can sign Luongo to a long-term contract, I'll be completely sold.

On the other hand, Bertuzzi is definitely going to have a better season than the last.

The Canucks got the lesser part of the deal if they don't sign Luongo to a long-term contract. If he only wants to sign there for a year, I can see them trading him away to a playoff-bound team by the trade deadline. If the Canucks are still in contention, of course, they'll hold onto him.

So the draft is coming up... If your respective teams don't trade or gain any draft picks, which first-rounder/highest draft picks do you think they should be able to sign?

Demitra went to LA today, man the north-west is making a ton of trades. It is expected that Pronger will be traded because his wife is a dumb bitch who dislikes the city. Man I just lost all respect for this guy. Took all season to build it and now it just got shattered.
