New Album "Dark and spooky, poppy and very melodic".

ummm, guys...they mean its gonna be more like breaking the habit when they mean dark and melodic. It's gonna be the same stuff like the old albums just new songs and a little different sound. I see some of you guys saying "only rapping?" or is this only "chester" singing in this album...NOOOOO thats why its a new Linkin Park album guys not a new "Chester Album" and if it was only rapping it would be "Fort Minor"...so open ur eyes and ears alittle more

No way they're gonna become a boyband, like someone said, Rick Rubin isnt Don Gilmore. They'll have freedom now, and most likely revert back to the Hybrid Theory EP Style (which was great of course!)

I don't know if as an LP fan I should have done this sooner, but I just listened to the Hybrid Theory EP and my favorites are "Part of Me" and "Carousel". These two have Brad Delson playing in a way that other rock fans wished he would play like. Just maybe this is a big reference to "dark and spooky" for the next album, maybe with just Carousel for guitar riffs but Chester sings really heavy in Part of Me.

For "poppy and melodic" in a rock band, I think Nickelback. Those guys will never get a hit from anything but a ballad (and "Figured You Out" is not a hit. It is a song I hear at strip clubs all the time). LP Easier to Run is what I believe is a reference for the next album as well. I know they said Breaking The Habit is the stepping block but it is so different that I can't think of how it can made into other songs.
